ONYX is a darkly comic, surreal satire about the ego, isolation, and madness of artistic creation. It follows a painter who becomes dangerously obsessed with his own masterpiece — only to find himself haunted, consumed, and possibly undone by it.

 

Shot entirely in our East London studio, the film blurs the line between reality and imagination through a mix of live-action, practical effects, visual effects, 3D animation, and gallons of real paint. What begins as a meditation on artistic legacy morphs into a descent into visual chaos — a warped self-portrait of an artist spiralling into delusion.
